Coach Responsibilities

• Set team and individual goals for the season.
• Design and deliver training plans aligned with the Netball Queensland Performance Matrix.
• Communicate effectively with team managers, parents, and PRNA leadership.
• Promote fair play, sportsmanship, and PRNA’s values.
• Develop game strategies and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure player safety, wellbeing, and readiness at training and on game days.

Assistant Coach Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading training sessions.
• Support game-day strategy and player rotations.
• Supervise players and uphold safety standards.
• Capture statistics and assist with player load/time tracking.
• Contribute to feedback and development conversations.

Apprentice Coach Responsibilities

• Support training delivery under guidance from the coaching team.
• Learn and apply coaching strategies in training and match play.
• Assist with game-day preparation, warm-ups, and equipment.
• Engage in regular feedback and mentoring with the coaching team.

Important Information

Eligibility

Applicants must be 15 years or older; prior club coaching experience preferred.

Availability

• Senior State Age: April 2026
• Junior State Age: June/July 2026
• GBNL season: May–September 2026
• Day & Twilight Carnivals: Dates TBC
• 11s Development Program: Commences after Easter

Coaching Accreditation

• GBNL: Minimum Intermediate or working towards Intermediate
• Senior State Age: Minimum Development, working towards Intermediate
• Junior State Age: Minimum Foundation, working towards Development
• 11s Development: Minimum Foundation, working towards Development

Development Program

Selected Coaches contribute to the PRNA Development Program (from February 2026) and assist with the 10s & 11s programs.

Blue Card

All Coaches must hold a valid Blue Card (or equivalent).
